For our final Random Act of Kindness we wanted to do something big! Brighton Lighthouse, ‘I Will Right Now’ Foundation and Brighton Ford joined forces and donated Bountiful Harvest with a new vehicle to help serve the Brighton Community and deliver meals to over 2,000 families. Brighton Ford collected nonperishable food donations for over a week and matched every food donation 1:1 to fill the van. We also donated $1,000.00 to this wonderful charity. The ribbon cutting took place on Friday June 19, 2020 where several community members, along with our local radio station WHMI came to present the van to Yvonne, director of Bountiful Harvest. The icing on the cake was that Yvonne was celebrating her 75th birthday!
We are honored to partner with such great groups such as the “I Will Right Now Foundation” and the Brighton Light House. The “I Will Right Now Foundation” is a non-profit set up to help others navigate through a life threatening diagnosis. The Brighton Light House is a new space to connect, create and collaborate in Brighton, opening this year. The Brighton Light House will serve as a home for Heart Connected, LLC, the World Headquarters for North Manitou Light Keepers and will provide shared working space for practitioners working to make the world a better place by sharing healing arts practices.
