With its athletic lines and sleek silhouette, the 2013 Fusion conveys a sense of agility. The inverted trapezoid grille gives Fusion a distinctive look, while low-profile projector lasercut headlamps and LED tail lamps display intelligent technology. Open the door. Extravagant and effective styling

The projector laser-cut headlamps clearly communicate the persona of this thoroughly modern vehicle. The headlamps are designed with a wider aspect ratio (the ratio of the width of the image to its height) compared to the tall headlights seen on many other production cars. Available lighting features include automatic headlamps that activate when the light lessens, plus automatic high beam headlamps. When activated, they automatically change modes, going from low beam to high beam to provide enhanced illumination. While the LED taillamps on the 2013 Fusion glow and tend to illuminate faster than conventional taillamps. They also have a longer life than conventional taillamps.

Active grille shutters are designed to help reduce air resistance and increase efficiency. When closed, they help to reduce the aerodynamic drag on the vehicle caused by air traveling through the engine compartment.

Comfortable, luxurious, and mood setting seating

With several options to choose from, the seating in the Fusion is quite accommodating.

Set the mood with available ambient lighting. You can choose from seven colors – Ice Blue, Orange, Soft Blue, Red, Green, Blue or Purple – to illuminate the front and rear footwells, front center console bin and front two cupholders. You can also enhance the interior illumination with available light-emitting diode (LED) interior lamps. And because they’re so bright and provide a distinctive glow, LEDs are also used in the door locks.

Five engines, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric powerplants

Fusion offers three gasoline engines and two hybrid powerplants. In addition to the standard 2.5L Duratec® I-4 engine, there are two new available EcoBoost® engines – 1.6L and 2.0L – that offer a no-compromise combination of power and efficiency. In an effort to maximize efficiency while lowering carbon emissions, the conventional and plug-in hybrid electric powerplants each feature a gas engine and electric motor. The new suspension system delivers a smooth ride, while electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) provides a responsive and comfortable driving experience. And for peace of mind, the available Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive System gives you traction when and where you need it most.
